Nurses
Vicky, Ali, Steph and Emma have created a nursing team that is both caring and efficient. As well as assisting our vets and caring for in-patients, our nurses are on hand to give advice and offer life stage clinics which can be tailored to a patient's individual needs to compliment other aspects of their veterinary care.
Vicky Haygreen
Vicky has a great knowledge of the everyday running of the practise and gets involved in everything from nursing to Insurance forms and maintaining the website. She has a keen interest in dog behaviour and completed a 2 year course and is a qualified dog obedience trainer. She loves the cinema and baking - which the other staff benefit from - and spending time training her new dog Reg.
Ali Braby RVN
Ali qualified in 1999 in a mixed animal practice mainly concentrating her skills with small animals. Later on she took a slight detour and became a nutritional advisor for a large petfood company. This involved a lot of travelling so after 10 years she returned to nursing. Ali went into emergency Care work at night time but now works with us daytime to have more time with her family. Ali has 2 daughters and a Border Terrier called Mabel.
Emma Illingsworth RVN
Emma has been nursing for over 20 years starting at RSPCA Harmsworth animal hospital for 10 years with a range of animals. She has also worked for the Dogs Trust, the PDSA and private practices. She particularly enjoys looking after large breed dogs especially Great Danes! She enjoys every aspect of working in practice but has a particular interest in taking X-Rays. In her free time Emma is kept busy with her 3 children, arts and crafts.
Steph Wright
Steph began nursing in 1999 and has worked in several practices across Essex, Suffolk and Surrey. Steph has a special interest in rabbit care, husbandry and behaviour and has put her knowledge to good use at both work and home taking care of her own 2 rabbits Walnut and Hazel. She also has 2 cats called Smudge and Minkie. Steph is currently also working towards a diploma in Feline Care, Welfare and Behaviour.

Beate Latus Vetmed MRCVS
Beate has worked in England for 19 years since leaving Germany to gain experience of British practice, spending 16 of those years at The Forge. As well as general medical and surgical skills she has a special interest in our smaller patients such as Rabbits and Guinea Pigs. Beate is a keen runner, swimmer and a great baker.
Zoe Gresham
Zoe is our newest vet - she qualified from Bristol in 2010 and has been working as a small animal vet in North Essex before joining the Forge family. She has a post graduate certificate in small animal medicine. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, triathlons, cycling and running and looking after her 6 guinea pigs. KItty Craig
Kitty qualified in 2007 from the Royal Veterinary college in London. She enjoys all aspects of first opinion small animal practice, especially surgery and orthopaedics.
